A rental offer nobody knew about.28 stylists asking in three months.

Kosa runs a genuinely different model in San Francisco — station rentals alongside commission — and almost nobody knew it existed. Three months of a page that finally explained the offer, ads on two channels and a rebuilt social presence brought 28 qualified professionals asking about a station and grew the following by half.

Our role
The landing page, the ads on Google and Facebook, and the social rebuild. Kosa ran the salon.

01The challenge

What they were up against.

An empty station in San Francisco costs the salon every week it sits. Kosa had the offer stylists want — flexibility, a real community, a premium room — and a website and social presence that didn’t say so in a way a working stylist could evaluate in thirty seconds.

Kosa Salon runs a hybrid model in San Francisco — station rentals alongside commission opportunities — creating a flexible environment for stylists and barbers to build their own books. The offer was genuinely differentiated. Almost nobody knew it existed.

02Strategy & approach

The play, and why this one.

Two kinds of stylist rent a station: the ones searching for one right now, and the ones who aren’t searching but would move for the right room. So the campaign ran on two channels at once — search for the first, Facebook for the second — and both landed on a page that finally made the offer plain.

  1. 01A landing page that explains the rental offer the way a stylist evaluates it.
  2. 02Search ads for professionals actively hunting for a station.
  3. 03Facebook for the ones who aren’t searching yet but would move for the right room.
  4. 04Rebuild the social presence around the culture, the stations and the stylists’ own stories.

How it played out.

01

A page that finally explained the offer.

Premium stations, flexible rental options and the benefits of joining the community — laid out in language a working stylist could size up in thirty seconds, with a clear way to ask.

Kosa’s social presence after the rebuild
02

Two channels, two kinds of stylist.

Search ads caught professionals actively looking for a station. A parallel Facebook campaign reached the ones who weren’t searching yet. Together, in three months: 12 qualified enquiries through Google and 16 interested prospects through Facebook messages.

Kosa’s social presence before
03

A social presence rebuilt end to end.

Custom-branded posts showing the salon’s culture, the available stations and the stylists’ success stories, with real engagement inside San Francisco’s beauty community rather than automation. The following grew 56% in three months, with 128 new followers and 62,761 impressions.

How fast it happened

Enquiries arrived from the first weeks of the ads and kept coming through the three months. The social growth built steadily alongside them.

What it meant for the business

Twenty-eight qualified professionals asking about a station, for a salon whose offer nobody had understood before. The enquiries paid for the work; the rebuilt presence and the community around it are what keep producing after the campaign ends.

Measured results for Kosa Salon. No projections, no estimates.

06Lessons & takeaways

What this means for your stations.

01

A good offer nobody understands is no offer

Kosa’s model was genuinely different. It just wasn’t explained anywhere a stylist could evaluate it. Say it plainly, in their terms.

02

The stylist you want may not be searching yet

Search ads reach the ones looking now. The ones who would move for the right room need to be shown it. Run both.

03

Social is where stylists check who you are

Before a professional rents a chair, they look at your feed. Culture, stations and real stories are the pitch.

What we’d do differently

Bring the landing page live before the social rebuild rather than alongside it. The ads worked from the first week; the social growth compounds more slowly, and a longer runway on the page would have given every early enquiry the same clear pitch.
